Koyle Winery – San Fernando – Chile
Koyle winery is At the foot of the Andes mountains, at the entrance of the Colchagua Valley, Viña Koyle has unique characteristics for its vineyards on slopes, soils of volcanic rock and organic and biodynamic philosophy, which transform it into one of the safety pins Wine Route. Furthermore, the presence of biological corridors of native flora, sheep, geese, chickens and other animals, helps give life to the expression of the place, which together with an ecological reserve of 1,000 hectares preserves the identity of the wine.
Viña Koyle is born in the year 2006, when Alfonso Undurraga Mackenna, together with his sons Alfonso, Max and Cristóbal, begin a search for a new terroir which will provide them with high quality wines.
After searching through and analyzing different valleys and areas of Chile, they acquired a property of 1.100 hectares in Los Lingues, Alto Colchagua, which is located on the initial slopes of the Andes Mountains.
